Treating wood against pests is crucial to ensuring its durability and longevity. At Pacific Forest, we use species such as cumarú and specific products to guarantee effective protection.

Recommended Species

  • Cumaru: Naturally resistant to pests.
  • Teak: Highly resistant due to its natural oil content.

Recommended Products

  • Osmo Wood Protector: Effective against pests and fungi.

Application:

Cleaning and Preparation:

  • Cleaning: Ensure the wood is clean and dry before applying any product. Use a suitable wood cleaner to remove dirt and debris.
  • Sanding: Lightly sand the surface with fine-grit sandpaper (180-240) to open the wood’s pores and improve oil absorption.

Applying the Protector:

  • Osmo Wood Protector:
    • Step 1: Apply a thin, even coat with a soft-bristle brush.
    • Step 2: Allow the product to penetrate for 10-15 minutes, then wipe off any excess with a clean, dry cloth.
    • Step 3: Let it dry for 12 hours and apply a second coat for complete protection.

Usage Examples

  • Outdoor Furniture: Treat cumarú furniture with Osmo Wood Protector to guard against pests.
  • Wooden Structures: Use on beams and pillars to ensure a long lifespan without infestation.

Necessary Items:
